Consultation

Before the treatment comes the reading

A consultation is where Mila finds out what you want to change and what your hair can actually carry. In the studio with hair diagnostics, or over video if you are planning ahead.

In the studio

Hands on diagnostics. Mila checks porosity, elasticity and how your hair reacts, then builds the plan around what she sees.

Video call

For planning from a distance. You send photos in advance, and the call covers history, goals and what is realistic.

What is covered

Four things get decided

The consultation is not a sales conversation. It ends with a plan, even when the plan is to wait.

Condition
Porosity and elasticity, measured rather than guessed.
History
Colour, lightening and every previous smoothing service.
Goal
What you want to change, and what that looks like on your hair specifically.
Plan
The treatment or the sequence of treatments, plus home care.

What the diagnosis
actually checks

None of this takes long, and all of it changes the answer. It is the part of the visit that protects your hair.

The stretch test

A single wet strand is stretched gently. Healthy hair stretches and springs back. Hair that snaps, or stays stretched like chewing gum, has a weak cortex and needs repair before any heat.

Reading porosity

Porosity is judged by touch, by how fast the hair takes water, and by how it dries. The glass of water test you see online is a rough guide at best, because oils and product residue change the result.

Your chemical history

Lightening, colour and every previous smoothing service leave layers in the hair. Two treatments that are fine on their own can be a problem together, so the history matters as much as what the hair looks like today.

Scalp check

Oiliness, flaking or sensitivity change what goes on first. Sometimes the scalp is the first thing to treat.

Before you come in

Three things to send

01

Send your hair history

Every colour and lightening service, and any keratin or similar treatment, with rough dates.

02

Send photos

Daylight, no filter, hair dry and down. Front, back and a close view of the ends.

03

Bring your questions

Including the ones about what you should not do. Those are usually the useful ones.

The cost of the consultation can be counted toward the treatment if you book one. Mila confirms that when she quotes your case.

Write on WhatsApp with your hair history and photos. Mila will confirm the format and the time.
